Capt Robert's Resume: SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed for 30 Years by the U.S. Coast Guard as a Master U.S. Merchant Marine Officer for vessels up to 100 gross registered tons upon near coastal waters. Also hold a third class Federal Communications Commission (FCC) marine operators radio license.
1977 to present Captain of passenger carrying vessels, charter fishing boats, launches for a sailing yacht club, and private vessels up to 100 gross registered tons. Proficient in the navigation of vessels of various sizes, including experience while underway during hurricanes and other severe weather and sea conditions, in addition to operating high speed vessels.
1978 to 2004 - Owned and operated a passenger vessel business, Crack-A-Dawn Charter Service, Inc. running over 100 trips each season.
2001 to present - Board of Directors Member with the National Marine Charter Association (NMCA).
2005 to Present - Associated Surveyor with Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS).
2005 to Present - Standards Accredited with the American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC).

CAREER BACKGROUND: 6/85 to Present Provided expert engineering consultant services concerning commercial and pleasure power boats for attorneys, insurance companies and manufacturing companies in the field of marine related subjects. Perform in-depth investigations and accident reconstruction exercises concerning boating accidents and personal injury. Well versed in the various statutes and regulations relating to vessels and the waterways, rules of the road, aids to navigation, tide charts, weather conditions, etc. Perform studies, prepare reports and appear in court as an expert witness, providing testimony in court litigation proceeding and depositions.
1973 to 9/05 Retired on 9/30/05, as a Senior Compliance Officer with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Eastern Regional Office, New York, NY. Developed cases for enforcement action involving consumer products that violated statutes and regulations or presented substantial product hazards. Proficient in federal statutes and possess extensive experience with applicable mandatory and voluntary regulations concerning the safety characteristics of consumer products. Performed in-depth investigations and accident reconstruction exercises concerning accidents and personal injury. Performed establishment inspections at importers and domestic manufacturers concerning safety and consumer product regulation compliance. Participated in preparation of discovery documentation, accepted as an expert witness and testified in numerous proceedings. Received a total of eight (8) agency awards during my tenure at this position.
1972 to 1973 - Employed as a Mechanical Engineer for the U.S. Food & Drug Administration, Newark, NJ District Office. Developed case for enforcement action involving firms marketing medical devices, radiation generation equipment, and pharmaceutical products concerning the statutes and regulations enforced by the Agency.
1971 to 1972 Employed as a Mechanical Engineer for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA. Designed piping systems for U.S. Navy surface ships that ranged from a 5 PSI low air pressure system to the main 1200 PSI main steam propulsion systems.
EDUCATION: 1971 - B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Newark College of Engineering (now NJ Institute of Technology), Newark, NJ. 1977 - Licensed as a U.S. Merchant Marine Officer by the U.S. Coast Guard. Issued a 100 ton Near Costal Master License. 1978 - Licensed as a third class marine radio operator by the Federal Communications Commission. 1980 to 1989 Post-graduate training consisted of Concepts of Systems Product Safety, Advance Approaches of Accident Investigations, and Litigation Preparation.
2000 - Granted membership to the National Association of Charter Boat Operations (NACO).
2001 - Granted membership into the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME).
2004 - Accepted as a Surveyor Associate in the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS).
2005 - Granted membership to the American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC) and became ABYC Standards Accredited in August 2005.

· Served as captain with NY/NJ commuter ferry company in New York Harbor. · Experience in operating the following: a. 110 ft. 3 engine passenger converted crew boats, side and stern loader. (Propeller) b. 100 ft. 2 engine monohull bow loader. (Propeller) c. 100 ft Gladding Hearn INCAT design catamaran side loader with MJP/Bird Johnson Jets. d. 80 ft. 4 engine catamaran bow and side loader. (Hamilton Jets) e. 65 ft. 3 engine monohull bow and side loader. (Hamilton Jets). · Operated 34 different boats within the above categories. · Experience operating vessels at high speeds through 4 ft. plus seas, high winds, heavy rain, snow, white out conditions, fog, ice, etc. · Performed daily maintenance on boats which include: a. Check all voids for leaks, debris, or suspicious artifacts. b. Check all fluids on main engines, generators, and jet housings before initial startup and fill if needed. c.
